HISTORY

The NCC was created in 2011 .the college has provision for joining NCC for boys. Selection to the NCC is made after thorough medical examination. To ensure the cleanliness of their uniform the cadets are paid a washing allowance NCC training programme includes drill, field craft, map reading and faring at the faring camp. At the end of each training period, some cadets are awarded with “B” and “C” certificates’ in every year. Some NCC cadets are sent for advanced leadership course, mountainry course, republic day cam etc. NCC programmes begins in august and ends with the certificate exams held in February every year.

Achievements of NCC

In every year all cadets are participating in different camps like –CATC- CAMP, ARMY ATTACHMENT CAMP, YOGA CAMP and COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMPS etc.

In the year 2012 , 11 cadets, in 2013, 24 cadets, in 2014, 1 cadet, in 2015, 6 cadets, in 2016, 19 cadets have been awarded with B certificates.

In the year 2013, 2 cadets,in 2014, 5 cadet,in 2015 1 cadets, have been awarded with C certificates.

N.C.C. (National Cadet Corps)

N.C.C. Training is provided for the boy students. Every cadet is required to attend the parade once a week. They are imparted training in military science by the N.C.C. officers and the Army personnel posted by the Defence Department. The following are the aims of the N.C.C.:

  1. To develop character, comradeship and qualities of leadership in the youth of the country.
  2. To provide service training to youth so as to stimulate their interest in the defense of the country.
  3. To build up a reserve of potential officers to enable the armed force to expand rapidly in a national emergency.

Advantages of N.C.C. Training

N.C.C. cadets at the end of the first or at the beginning of the second year of training are eligible to appear at the "B" certificate and at the end of the 3rd year of their training to appear at the "C" certificate exam. Students with N.C.C. qualification are always given preference over other students in many competitive examinations both civil and military. It also provides opportunity to have a career in the Army through the officers Training Unit of N.C.C. and "C" certificate entry.

Students enrolled in N.C.C. have to attend a minimum of 75 percent of the parades and N.C.C. classes in order to qualify themselves to appear at the "B" and "C" certificate examinations.

Activities:

  1. CATC camp was held on Dt 08.01.2014 to 17.01.2014 at Burla and 14 cadets were participated in this camp.
  2. Army attachment camp was held on Dt 24.11.2014 to 08.12.2014 at Rajendra college, Balangir.
  3. Thal sainic camp was held at Delhi. Sudarshan patel was joined in this camp.
  4. A winter adventure camp was held on dt 02.12.2014 to 08.12.2014 Sudarshan patel was joined in this camp.
  5. A YOGA camp was held on dt 21.06.2015 in APS College Roth.
  6. CATC-II camp was held on dt 27.07.15 to 29.07.2015 at Rourkela 4 cadets were participated.
  7. CATC-III camp was held on dt 03.08.2015 to 12.08.2015 at Burla 2 cadets were participated.
  8. CATC-IV camp was held on dt 16.08.2015 to 25.08.2015 at Burla 5 cadets were participated.
  9. CATC-IV camp was held on dt 07.09.2015 to 16.09.2015 at Burla 5 cadets were participated.
  10. CATC-VII camp was held on dt 05.10.2015 to 14.10.2015 at Balangir 8 cadets were participated.
  11. CATC-VIII camp was held on dt 28.10.2015 to 06.11.2015 at Balangir 2 cadets were participated.
  12. CATC-XII camp was held on dt 04.01.2016 to 13.01.2016 at Balangir 25 cadets were participated.
  13. ARMY ATTACHMENT camp was held on dt 18.01.2016 to 01.02. 2016 at Gopalpur 4 cadets were participated.
  14. A Combined annual training camp was held on dt 01.08.2016 to 10.08.2016 at Burla 3 cadets were participated.
  15. A Combined annual training camp was held on dt 10.01.2017 to 19.01.2017 at Balangir 7cadets were participated.
  16. CATC camp was held on dt 12.07.2017 to 21.07.2017 at Rourkela 6 cadets were participated.
  17. CATC-(TSC PRE ) camp was held on dt 22.07.2017 to 31.07.2017 at Burla 5 cadets were participated.
  18. IGC-TSC(PH-1) camp was held at Burla 2 cadets participated.
  19. CATC camp was held at Balangir 3 cadets were participated.
  20. CATC (TSC-IV) camp was held at Burla 5 cadets were participated.
  21. CATC (RDC) camp was held on dt 08.10.2017 to 17.10.2017 at Balangir 12cadets were participated.
  22. ARMY ATTACHMENT camp was held on dt 16.10.2017 to 28.10.2017 at Gopalpur 5cadets were participated.
